All the main stations and locations from Edinburgh Waverley to Carlisle are featured:

Colton Tunnel, St Margarets Shed, Niddrie West, Tynehead, Falahill, Heriot, Stow, Galashields, Melrose, St Boswells, Branches to the East Coast via Roxburgh, Hawick, Stobbs Camp, Shank End, Whitrope, Riccarton Junction, Steele Road, Newcastleton, Kershopefoot, Riddings Junction, the Langholme Branch, Scotch Dyke, Carlisle Canal and Citadel.

A record of a much loved railway which closed in 1969.

Derbyshire Contrasts. The Cromford and High Peak with freight and special workings. Includes the Hopton Incline, the Cromford to Sheep Pasture line, showing the rope worked inclines in use. Plus the Matlock to Chinley main line.

In Englands Smallest County. One of British Railways last steam operated branch from Luffenham Junction to Seaton featuring both Midland and Eastern motive power.

Western Outposts.The former Midland branch from Aschurch to Tewkesbury and Upton-upon-Severn. Veteran Midland 3Fs are shown in action just before closure.
