Wolverton Rail Videos..over 4,000 Railway and Transport Video Titles available. RUN by enthusiasts FOR the enthusiast with personal service guaranteed!!
About Us Established in 1987, Wolverton Rail is run by railway enthusiasts FOR railway enthusiasts. If you have any suggestions or comments about our services then please use my "contact us" form on this website. Wolverton Rail is a trading name of ADVANCE MICRO COMPUTERS LTD. Our customer/client base includes blue chip companies, multi-nationals, government organisations and law firms!LEGAL BIT: I am a long established and well respected retailer with an excellent reputation with my customers. The display of goods on the wolvertonrail.com web site amounts to an invitation to treat only and is not an offer to sell goods at any price indicated. My web site shows availability of titles from suppliers (to the best of my current knowledge) and not that a particular title is physically in stock or has ever been in stock. I do keep stock of popular titles from mainstream publishers (over 4000) with others to order from their publishers or wholesalers (my "suppliers"). The web site content is continually changing as titles/publishers are added/deleted and is based on trade lists provided by my suppliers. It is possible for a video title to appear on my web site and for that title to have been deleted by the supplier without me ever having sold a copy or for a copy to have been obtained from my suppliers. I do not make unlawful copies of videos or dvds. Unless shown otherwise all titles are new and not secondhand. I fully respect the copyright of the publishers to full extent of that pertaining to English Law (see http://www.opsi.gov.uk/acts/acts1988/Ukpga_19880048_en_3.htm)I do not accept liability for any errors or omissions and reserve the right to change information, specifications and descriptions of listed goods, products and services. E & O E. Please read my FAQ section.I reserve the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Any modification of these terms will be deemed to be effective from the date and time of posting on this web site. |
Making A Purchase Browse my Catalog, and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Order" and you will be asked for a few details that I need to be able to satisfy the order. Note that if a video is shown as costing £0.00 it means the video is not yet available. It isn't free!NOTE1: Prices shown are for guide only. The actual price charged is that prevailing on the day I post your order. Usually this *is* the same price as shown but occasionally suppliers change prices without telling me until I receive fresh stock! Remember prices can go down as well as up :-) NOTE2: If any the price for any item is shown as £0.00 then unless it actually says in the description that it is free (such as the catalogue) then it is a pricing error and the item IS NOT FREE. I am not a charity and I need to earn a living!NOTE3: If I suspect there is something fraudulent or odd about your order then I will not process your order. I may contact the British police. An example of this is an internet order from overseas using my phone number as the contact phone number and a strange email address such as www@gmail.com (which obviously isn't correct). The card details might well be correct but I am not going to send you your order. LEGAL BIT: When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that my computer system has received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. I will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when I send you an invoice or a sales receipt. I have included this term to protect me in case that a mistake has been made in pricing, I have inadvertently under-priced goods, I am no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason or I do not wish to supply (I do not have to give a reason), or I suspect fraud.I accept VISA and MASTERCARD credit/debit card payment using my secure PCI compliant system called "Sellerdeck Payments". This is run by CreditCall which is part of WorldPay i.e. one of the "Banks". I never see your card details when you pay online. If you place an order over the telephone, I will enter your card details into this system and merchants are not allowed to keep a record. This is why I have to ask you for your card details every time you place a telephone order. This new system became effective from 1st.October 2012.IMPORTANT: When you pay by credit/debit card a "pre-authorisation" is applied to your card account. It doesn't take the money. The actual amount is taken when I process your order. I usually do not charge for any item until it is ready to post. Alternatively, you can send your credit card information via phone, post or by email (at your own risk and I really would say don't send by email) over the Internet. If you pay by paypal then this is beyond my control and they take your payment immediately. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency.PLEASE NOTE THAT MY DVDs ARE UK PAL FORMAT ONLY. Most of my North American customers either have a multi-standard dvd player or they play them on their computer. AFAIK, all my DVDs are region free.>>YOUR ORDER IS HANDLED BY A HUMAN.. NOT AN AUTOMATED COMPUTER SYSTEM :-) :-D !!!<<< |

The extra cost is charged to the customer at cost to me. By ordering from me, you agree to this charge if I believe you live in a country where this is necessary. Examples include India, Pakistan, Greece, African countries, some Middle-East countries, Russia and South American countries. Note thatmy shopping cart system does not automatically add this charge because I do not actually know the charge until I take it to the Post Office! All DVDs are sent by Air Mail and are VAT free for countries outside of the European Union (EU).NOTE: other than B & R DVDS, I do not supply DVDs post free unless I am running a special offer and the customer quotes that special offer number in their order. |
Delivery Schedule Titles are subject to availability and price change. My web site shows availability of titles from suppliers (to the best of our current knowledge) and not that a particular title is physically in stock. All orders are dealt with as soon as possible. I offer a huge range of titles and I keep stock of popular titles, with others to order. I may be out of stock of titles in your order. I then have to wait for delivery from suppliers. So please allow up to 28 days for delivery in the UK, and longer overseas. Please note that if you pay by credit or debit card then the credit/debit card companies usually require me to make delivery to your billing address. I realise that sometimes customers would like delivery to another address. This is why I give customers the option of a delivery address that is not the same as the billing address. But please be aware that as far as I know, selecting this option removes any recompense protection you may have from your credit/debit card company. If you have requested delivery to another address and I deliver to the billing address by mistake then I am only complying with the credit/debit card companies regulations. I am not liable for your postage costs to the final delivery address. After all, it would be unreasonable (that's a legal term, by the way) to expect me to pay your postage costs if your billing address were in the UK, I had sent your order to that address but you had requested a delivery address in Australia! |
Back Orders If your item is not in stock, I will back order for you. Delivery is usually within 2 weeks. My web site shows availability of titles from suppliers (to the best of my current knowledge) and not that a particular title is physically in stock. |
Tax Charges From 1st.April 2022, my company is no longer registered for VAT. This means all orders, including those from overseas, include Value Added Tax (VAT) at the current UK prevailing rate. This applies to both retail and to trade customers. |
Credit Card SecurityI know of no documented cases of credit card fraud using my shopping system over the Internet. When you place your order a secure path exists between your computer and my web site (although the padlock symbol in your browser will show "unlocked") . Since 1st.October 2012 (due to regulatory changes) I now use an online payment system called "SellerDeck Payments". It is secure and PCI compliant. It is run by CreditCall which is part of WorldPay i.e. one of the "Banks". I never see your card details when you pay online. If you place an order over the telephone, I enter your card details into this system and merchants are not allowed to keep a record. This is why I have to ask you for your card details every time you place a telephone order. This new system became effective from 1st.October 2012.IMPORTANT: When you pay by credit/debit card using "SellerDeck Payments", a "pre-authorisation" is applied to your card account. This means it "reserves" the amount on your card account. It doesn't take any money. The actual amount is taken when I process your order. I do not charge for any item until it is ready to post. However, if there is a delay in processing your order (because I might be out of stock), then after a few days, the reserved amount may be removed from your card account. It might looks as though I have taken your money and then put it back again. I haven't.. it's the way the banks work. BUT NOTE the "pre-authorisation" is still there for your order. So when your order is processed, I can still take the actual money without having to ask you for your card details again. This sounds more complicated than it is and there's an FAQ about it.If you pay using PayPal then PayPal takes the money from you immediately. How you pay PayPal who then pay me is up to you. You could have paid PayPal by credit or debit card, cash or bank transfer. I have no way of knowing and I have no control over this. All I know is PayPal have paid me for your DVD. It means that if you order a DVD and it has been withdrawn by the publisher, then I have to carry out a manual refund. And PayPal charge us for doing so! Which is why we prefer customers to use "SellerDeckPay by ClearAccept" :-) |

Returns Policy I will exchange goods that are faulty. Please ensure that the title(s) you are ordering is/are what you really want before ordering. I don't supply them on a trial basis. If you do return titles then please do so by second class post and within 7 days after delivery. If you return them by first class post or otherwise that is your responsibility! <smile>. I will only refund second class postage costs (usually with stamps) if requested and only from the original delivery address. For example if you buy a video as a present for a friend who lives elsewhere (including overseas) and the DVD is delivered to you then it is unreasonable (theres's that legal term again!) to expect me to refund the postage costs of your friend sending it back to you and then you sending it back to me. Or the cost of your friend sending it back to me direct. I will only refund the postage cost of you sending the video back from your address. Please read my obligations under "The Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000" which can be found at http://www.hmso.gov.uk/si/si2000/20002334.htm (IMHO, it's not a light read! :-)) |
