Starting from Warrington Bank Quay we travel north along the WCML passing Warrington North Jct, Dallam Jct, Winwick Jct, Golborne Jctr, Bamfurlong Jct, Springs Branch Jct, Wigan South Jct, Wigan North Western, Wigan North Jct, Balshaw Jct, Euxton Jct, Farington Jct, Preston Ribble Jct, Preston South Jct, Preston and Preston North Jct before entering the goods loops at Barton & Broughton Loop followed by Oubeck Loop to allow passenger trains to pass..

We then resume our journey north passing Lancaster South Jct, Lancaster, Lancaster North Jct, Morecambe South Jct, Hest Bank Jct, Carnforth South Jct, Carnforth Goods Loops, Carnforth North Jct, Oxenholme South Jct, Oxenholme North Jct, and Oxenholme.

We pass Grayrigg Loop befoe entering Tebay Loop to allow passenger trains to pass by before resuming our journey north passing Shap Summit Loop, Harrisons Siding Loop, Penrith South Jct, Penrith Middle Jct, Penrith, Upperby Bridge Jct and Carlisle South Jct before finally terminating at Carlisle Citadel Station
