Ivo Peters first visited the Isle-of-Man in 1962 (see Volume 9). He visited the island again in 1963 and spent the first week of July filming and photographing activities on both the north and the south lines out of Douglas.

In this volume, we look at the general daily'maintenance of the locomotives, along with the sorting of stock for the day's running.

We then travel the southern line towards Port Erin, followed by the northern route, first to St Johns and then on towards Peel and Ramsey.

Ivo filmed at most stations as well many locations in between including the two viaducts on the Ramsey line and 'the race' out of St Johns. with his customary unerring eye for a beautiful setting.

A map of the island showing the railways, plus a complete listing of all the steam locomotives on the Isle-of-Man Steam Railway is on the inside cover.
